The overblown reactions to Assassin's Creed: Shadows, like those surrounding Harry Potter, are tiresome. Whether it's baseless claims about fueling transphobia or inciting crime, the hyperbolic outrage from both left and right is essentially the same. These boycotts, predictably, fail to stop massive sales and ironically generate more publicity. When Legacy and Shadows inevitably arrive on the Switch 2, expect the same. The best way to actually hurt sales? Stay silent. All the crying just makes them more popular.
