I do agree the Kiwifarms sympathizing is weird and I don’t believe it belongs here, nor does the sudden insistence that every user who comes here must have an organized argument, rebuttal, and finisher. This is just a gossip thread, gossip by definition will not always be true or reasonable. It’s like going into a lounge room and expecting everyone to sit up straight. I know there’s concerns of how we look to Kiwifarmers, but if a farmer comes here thinking they’ll get a feel of our IQ from the “Kiwifarms green Reddit cat boy gossip” thread then that’s entirely a them problem.

Being fair here, Jersh at least has a case that he can tip off to the feds because every developed country (the United States included) around the world is involved in the ongoing glowie operation known as Operation PowerOFF which is a collaboration between America and its allies to shut down DDoSing services and arrest the people involved in said DDoSing services. So far this international collaboration has been successful because many of the big threat actors involved in DDoSing have been arrested with the glowies shutting down these illegal script kiddie services.
So the glowies do have an enormous interest in anyone involved in DDoSing. Jersh will likely tip this off to the feds so that the glowies can use this as new intel in their ongoing effort to bring DDoSers to justice.
The FBI has talked to Jersh before in regards to subpoenaing criminals from Kiwi Farms so Jersh talking to the FBI won't be anything new for Jersh.
While I can completely understand not wanting kids to have access to adult content online (because kids should not have access to porn), there are more effective ways to keep kids away from porn that doesn't involve heavy censorship and compromising the privacy of Internet users.
We've already seen the consequences of forcing online platforms to have their users hand over their government issued IDs to said platforms; like the recent data breach with Discord where around 700,000 people on Discord got doxed because of the misguided UK Online Safety Act despite the Britbong government telling the public that they should have nothing to worry about (because the Britbong government is too stupid to understand that handing over your sensitive government documents to an online platform that has no incentive to enhance their cybersecurity standards where said platforms are often targeted by hackers leading to millions in monetary damages is an objectively terrible idea).
I'm in full agreement that kids should not have access to porn but it's probably going to take more devastating data breaches (like what we saw with Discord) for this whole Internet mandatory ID grift to finally die and force the boomers in power to rewrite their poorly written age verification laws in order to mitigate the damage done by black hat hackers doing data breaches (because even the most moralfagging boomers that currently want ID laws for the Internet simply cannot ignore these devastating data breaches forever and they will be forced to face the reality of these poorly written age verification laws and I'm sure the moralfagging boomers in power will only start opposing ID verification laws for the Internet when they inevitably get doxed because of a data breach and the general public discovers their secret gooner stashes that has ties to their real world identities anyway).

With freedom also comes with responsibility. People are willing to fight for freedom if they feel deprived of it but the less sexy aspect about freedom is the responsibility that comes with it. If you can convince a bunch of retards to relinquish responsibility so long as you can manage to disguise relinquishing responsibility with relinquishing freedom then more people are willing to comply.

if you ever read F'451, its actually a libertarian story about how the minorities and women demanded the government censor art, the author confirmed it and its also why one of the handful of stories memorized at the end of the novel was Ulysses which was banned from many places for the passage featuring a woman masturbating. The fact it was published in playboy was another big tell it wasn't some normal "free speech" story, for fucks sake the first part plays out like a penthouse forum story. "my bitch wife is fat and stupid and watches soap operas, but this naughty nymphet neighbor is really into me" and then it goes in a whole different direction in the 2nd part

The buttons on the dashboard being invisible isn't even the first time it happened. And chemo wasn't staff last time it did and neither of us global mods have access to the site code. It's not a skill issue it's an issue with the code, as for the uploading I think ken has to manually clear the cache again even though he said it should have been automated by now. Guess it's not. Again, not a skill issue, a server issue. Regular posting is fine but that's not what we were talking about.
