Ok. It was a bat. Ozzy (rather naively) thought that the bat was a toy one (like who the fuck brings an actual bat to a gig, right?*), so he thought he'd bite the head off, as a bit (tee hee) of theatrics. It wasn't a toy bat, and it bit him back. Ozzy was then given a number of shots.
