It's really sad because Persia was basically on its way of becoming a developed first-world nation and then the muslim extremists showed up and ran the country into the ground.

I don't even like calling Persia as 'Iran' because the name 'Iran' is a name given to Persia by the religious authoritarians. I hope Iran can become Persia again much like how after the Soviet Union collapsed, the former Soviet cities that were given communist names were given back their original Slavic names before the 1917 revolution.

I hope Iran is freed from its religious oppressors and they can call themselves Persia again. It's Persia and it will always be Persia. The name 'Iran' is a slave name given to Persia and hopefully soon Persia can get rid of its slave name when it's a free country again.

Reminds me of Muhammad Ali's rename actually being his new slave name since Muhammad was white and owned black slaves. He changed it to get rid of his old "slave name" but instead of getting rid of a slave name he traded it in for a new one. Even more ironic that Cassius Marcellus Clay was an abolitionist.
