Halle Berry is speaking out with honesty and boldness about a chapter of life many women silently endure. On June 9, during a Bare It All women’s health panel, the 58-year-old Oscar-winning actress opened up about her personal experience with menopause, revealing that she initially feared she’d lost her sex life for good. Speaking alongside Christina Aguilera, co-founder of the sexual wellness brand Playground — Berry recalled that she entered menopause around age 54 without any prior guidance or warning from her doctors.

“I had no idea that I was in menopause at this time of my life,” Berry said. “No doctor that I had had even mentioned the fact that I would enter into menopause... I had this unrealistic idea that maybe I would just skip it.” Berry shared that she first began experiencing vaginal dryness, a common but rarely discussed symptom of menopause, just as she was falling in love with her now-partner Van Hunt. At the time, she was devastated and feared intimacy was over for her. “I was really afraid at that time that I would never enjoy that part of my femininity again,” she admitted. “I finally found my person, and now the worst joke in the world happened to me.”

Determined to find answers, Berry dove into personal research, eventually leading her to Colette Courtion and Dr. Sarah de la Torre, the team behind Joylux, a wellness brand focused on intimate health. Through their products and support, Berry says she was able to reclaim both her physical comfort and her sex life. “They serviced my very first needs when I realized that I was in menopause. They helped me get my intimacy back and my sex life back.” Berry’s journey also sparked the growth of her own wellness brand, Respin Health, which recently partnered with Joylux to develop science-backed products addressing women’s pelvic and sexual health, including a lubricating gel and an intimacy device focused on the pelvic floor. Now, Berry is on a mission to normalize menopause conversations and end the stigma around women’s health. “It takes being bold, talking about it, being loud about it, not being afraid to talk about it, not feeling shame, giving other women permission to talk about it,” she said. “We can no longer be silent on this issue. It’s a health issue. It’s a human rights issue, and we need to fight for that.” The Catwoman star’s story is resonating widely, shining a light on the realities many women face, and the power of breaking the silence around them.

Halle Berry is embracing summer, and she’s doing it with pure joy. In a sunny new video posted to her social media this week, the Oscar-winning actress celebrated Juneteenth by jumping on a backyard trampoline in a vintage-inspired one-piece swimsuit, surrounded by family. The carefree moment quickly captured the attention of fans, offering a refreshing dose of summer nostalgia and wholesome energy.

The video, posted on Thursday, June 19, shows Berry beaming as she bounces around, her laughter matching the energy of the moment. Set in what looks like her own backyard, the clip gave off serious childhood summertime vibes, the kind that makes you think of running through sprinklers, lemonade stands, and bare feet on warm grass. As of Friday, June 21, summer has officially arrived, and Berry’s post couldn’t have been timed better. With blockbuster films like Fantastic Four, Superman, and Jurassic World: Rebirth on the horizon, it’s clear that both Hollywood and its stars are stepping into the season with full enthusiasm.

Halle Berry, no stranger to iconic summer looks (who could forget that orange bikini moment in Die Another Day?), once again reminds fans that sometimes, the best way to kick off the season isn’t with a red carpet appearance or a movie premiere, but with a little laughter, sunlight, and quality time with loved ones.

And yes, a trampoline never hurts either.

Halle Berry’s fight to give her X-Men character Storm more depth and purpose has long been public, but new claims from director Matthew Vaughn suggest the actress may have been intentionally misled during the making of X-Men: The Last Stand. In a story Vaughn shared during a 2023 New York Comic Con panel, which has resurfaced in a big way, the Layer Cake director recounted why he walked away from directing the third X-Men instalment, and how it allegedly involved a studio bait-and-switch targeting Berry.

After his breakout success with 2004’s Layer Cake, Vaughn was tapped to replace Bryan Singer for the third X-Men movie. But his time with the franchise was short. According to Vaughn, he left the project after just a few meetings when he discovered what he believed was a dishonest scheme by Fox executives to secure Berry’s return. Vaughn recalled seeing a script on an executive’s desk featuring a dramatic opening scene with Storm in Africa, saving starving children by summoning a thunderstorm, a sequence that was never filmed or included in the final movie.

“That’s a pretty cool idea,” Vaughn said he told the exec. But the response shocked him. According to Vaughn, the executive called it “the Halle Berry script” and explained, “She hasn’t signed on yet, but this is what she wants it to be. So, once she signs on, we’ll throw it in the bin.” That revelation, Vaughn said, made him realise how little creative control he would have and how manipulative the studio could be, even toward an Oscar-winning actress. “So, I quit at that point,” Vaughn admitted. “I figured I was mincemeat.”

Berry had previously gone public with her frustrations about the way Storm was portrayed in the first two X-Men films. She said she received backlash from fans who felt the character had been sidelined or reduced to throwaway lines. In interviews, Berry stressed she wasn’t necessarily asking for more screen time, just more substance.

“If I’m gonna be on for ten minutes,” she said, “can I say something important for ten minutes instead of ‘Where’s the plane?’”

Berry’s push led to a more significant role for Storm in The Last Stand, where the character stepped into a leadership role. However, the version of the film released in 2006, directed by Brett Ratner after Vaughn’s exit, still fell short of the dramatic African opening originally teased in the scrapped script. When Vaughn revealed the story publicly in 2023, Berry responded on Instagram with a short but telling message:

“Ya just never know the shady shit going on behind ya back,” she wrote. “Thank you, Matthew Vaughn, for bringing the dark to light.”

Berry’s response suggested she had no idea that the studio had allegedly used fake script pages to convince her to sign on.

Rapper and YouTuber DDG (real name Darryl Dwayne Granberry Jr.) appeared in a Los Angeles courtroom on June 24, 2025, requesting visitation rights to see his 18-month-old son, Halo, in Italy, where the child is currently residing with his mother, singer and actress Halle Bailey. Bailey, who holds temporary sole custody of their son, is in Rome filming an upcoming movie and previously secured a temporary restraining order against DDG following allegations of domestic violence. In court filings, she described a history of abuse, including incidents that allegedly took place in the presence of their child.

During Tuesday’s hearing, DDG sought permission to visit Halo abroad while Bailey remains on set. Bailey objected to DDG’s original request for his mother to supervise the visit, citing what her legal team described as a pattern of “enabling behavior.” The judge sided with Bailey’s concerns and ruled that any visits must be monitored by a licensed professional instead, a condition deemed “reasonable” by the court. The judge also imposed a strict social media restriction, barring DDG from sharing photos or videos of Halo during this period. Both parties’ attorneys are currently working to identify and secure a qualified professional monitor before a follow-up hearing scheduled for June 26.

Bailey, in a recent filing opposing DDG’s attempt to block her international travel with their son, explained, “I must be on set in Italy to film a movie… This is my source of income, on which Halo and I rely.” She also stated that DDG had not consistently provided support since Halo’s birth. As the legal dispute continues, the case remains under close scrutiny, particularly due to the serious nature of Bailey’s domestic violence claims, which are now part of the court record.

Halle Berry nearly broke the internet after posting a sizzling Instagram video on June 26 that left little to the imagination, and even less by the end. The 58-year-old actress stunned fans as she danced around in nothing but a tiny white bikini, showing off her flawless figure while vibing to her boyfriend Van Hunt’s new song, “Prelims (mind n meat).” But things took an unexpected turn when, mid-dance, Berry’s bikini bottoms slipped clean off, leaving her completely bare from the waist down.

The playful video, seemingly filmed by Hunt himself, was quickly edited to include a giant peach emoji to censor the wardrobe malfunction, but fans still couldn’t believe what they were seeing.

“When your man’s music is so good you just can’t help yourself !” Berry wrote in the caption, plugging Van Hunt’s new EP A Heart Full of Questions.

Social media erupted over the spontaneous moment, with many calling the clip “iconic,” “wildly unfiltered,” and “peak Halle.” Despite the accidental reveal, the Catwoman star looked completely unbothered, dancing, laughing, and soaking in the moment.
