Now and days, Linux is becoming a more viable option largely thanks to Lord Gabe throwing a lot of money and faith into Linux.
Gaming on Linux is becoming less shitty (Proton on Steam is fantastic), more and more tech influencers advocate for its use, and it's way more secure and private than Windows.
You'd be dumb not to use Linux since Microsoft and Apple are cucked. I know the Linux community can be pretty cringe (Linux is no stranger to lolcows) but it's either Linux or you deal with the likes of Microsoft and Apple where they glow hard.

Good luck trying to convince companies/corporations of this though. They're completely stuck in their own ways and are hell bent on continuing to spend money on useless licenses. Normalfags are like this too, but with the right nudge, they CAN be convinced to change (yes this is coming from personal experience trying to convert a few people). Basically it's a "you can lead a horse to water but you can't make it drink" type situation.
What interests me is the ARM fad that's currently going on. I saw a gamingnexus video where apparently it can do Linux just fine but Windows runs better on a VM than natively.
What's that ? A STD or the mad cow's disease?
