Troll's remorse is pathetic and weak.
I don't like deathbed conversions.
In my personal worldview there is no forgiveness, so someone expressing remorse doesn't mean anything.
Remorse is just the rat's way out, a refusal to understand what you did, why you did it and why you deemed it necessary at the time.
Remorse is just about assuaging your own feelings. Just some feelgood bullshit that doesn't mean anything.
There is something so deeply disingenuous about someone like that insisting that their forum was nothing but a den of evil, then doing a 180 denouncing it all (I find this kind of binary thinking deeply suspicious, someone who truly knows themselves and their values doesn't radically flip like that), wanting to burn it all to the ground, wanting to burn other people's websites to the ground just because they were once associated with you, when so many people around the world discovered themselves, their friends, their values and the world itself through these online fora.
I am pretty sure the only reason he created those platforms was because he was isolated as a severely handicapped man and wanted to create an online community for himself. The fact that those platforms became something other than he intended isn't his fault, so why was he apologizing? Worse, turning himself into Frankenstein and insisting he has no choice but to destroy his "monstrous" creation? I aggressively reject this "monstering" of the internet by those who can't handle the inevitable excesses of the internet. The internet can only reflect whatever excesses already exist IRL. Do not ever blame the mirror for showing you what you don't want to see. Smashing mirrors is just a child's temper tantrum.
