If you have fucked up images/media with excessive compression, watermarks, strange croppings, small sizes, corruption, edits, or are just fucked up in some way, Fix It.

ImgOps
A meta-tool for submitting an image to numerous search engines and tools simultaneously. Either upload locally or provide a URL and click on the website of your choice. For normal images, use Google, Tineye, Bing, or Yandex as primary choices. Yandex has consistently been the most reliable.
Anime images can be searched with SauceNao, Iqdb, or ASCII2D.
Use Trace.moe for determining anime series, rather than artists.
l33t h4x0rz can use Multiple Exif Tools to extract meta information from images, such as GPS coordinates, camera information, dates, and much more.

Waifu2x
AI Upscaling program that allows you both de-noise and upscale both artwork and real life photos. Make sure to perform a search query with ImgOps first to find original copies before jumping to Waifu2x as upscaled/de-noised images will not have original levels of quality and may suffer from a "smear" effect depending on how crappy the original image was/how aggressively it was upscaled.
Use de-noising only if the image has obvious compression. It may be preferable to upscale an image twice using medium settings instead of once at the highest setting and then a second time without any if you are shooting for the largest size. Experiment!
