Britney Spears’ Mom Says She Wants ‘Her To Be Happy’ Despite Not Being Invited To Wedding
That video honestly doesn't really show anything. I read that a lot happened after this, but this is just what they got on film.

Tyla-at-Coachella-denies-Britney-Spears-outfit-influence-768x486.jpg

South African Pop Star Tyla performed at Coachella Music Festival over the weekend, and fans couldn’t help notice her outfit was almost the same as another pop start Britney Spears. The outfit was taken from Britney's 2001 MTV VMAs performance of "I'm A Slave 4 U".

When a fansite pointed it out on X (Twitter), Tyla denied she took any inspiration from Britney’s green bra, chains, and bejeweled denim short shorts… and was wearing totally unrelated green bra, chains, and bejeweled denim short shorts. Tyla told the fan to STFU on X.com, amist a huge dramafest.

Britney Spears is making headlines once again; this time for a mix of personal missteps and professional ambition. On Thursday, the pop icon shared a now-deleted Instagram video in which she suffered a major wardrobe malfunction while modeling a striped summer dress. In the video, Spears, 43, could be seen dancing and twirling in a low-cut, off-the-shoulder green and white ensemble. At one point, while lowering her hands to her sides, she accidentally tugged the fabric beneath her left breast, exposing herself briefly to the camera. Despite the slip-up, Britney kept smiling, quickly pulled the dress back up, and continued with her sultry dance moves. The video ended with her collapsing backwards onto a bed, clearly unbothered and still performing for her 41.8 million followers. This isn’t the first time she’s dealt with wardrobe troubles; back in October, she wore a tiny bikini top that nearly slipped off during another dancing video filmed in her home.

But the wardrobe mishap was just one of the more headline-grabbing moments in what’s been a dramatic few weeks for the singer. Just a day prior, TMZ reported that Britney caused a disturbance on a JSX flight returning from Cabo San Lucas to LAX. According to the outlet, Spears lit a cigarette and began drinking while seated with her security team mid-flight. Alarmed flight attendants immediately ordered her to put out the cigarette, which she did, but sources say her behavior throughout the flight was “difficult,” leading to further warnings from authorities upon landing. An insider told People magazine, “This is not her first warning. She doesn’t exactly follow the rules.” In response to the growing controversy, Britney posted a video to Instagram holding what looked like a bottle of alcohol and issued a long-winded explanation. She claimed it was her “first time drinking vodka” and that she thought it was okay to smoke on the plane because of the placement of the drink holders.

She added: “I want a cigarette so bad!!! My friend put it in my mouth and lit it up for me so I was like OH SO THIS IS A PLANE WHERE YOU CAN SMOKE!!!”

Britney went on to say that she believed airport officials greeted her because she was famous, admitting she was embarrassed when she realized they were there to reprimand her. She also criticized a flight attendant for being overly aggressive and invading her space, describing the experience as “weird” and uncomfortable.

Despite the public backlash, Britney is still moving forward with her new business venture. Earlier this month, her attorney Peter Nussbaum filed a trademark application with the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office for her first jewelry brand, B. Tiny. The brand is being launched through her company, Baby One More Mark, LLC. Spears had originally teased the jewelry line last year in November, but things hit a rough patch after a DailyMail.com investigation discovered it might be using designs and images from other brands without permission. Still, Britney seems undeterred. In her latest Instagram caption, after recounting the airplane incident, she plugged her upcoming jewelry drop, saying: “Oh well you guys like my flower choker??? B tiny is coming soon and that’s something we have added!!! It’s honestly adorable!!!”

Fans have already caught glimpses of the collection through her social media posts, including a white lace choker she’s worn in several videos. So, while Spears continues to face scrutiny over her behavior, it’s clear she’s focused on building something new outside of the entertainment industry.

Even without new music or a return to the stage, Britney Spears continues to make waves, not with a fresh release, but with the lasting power of her legacy. In a career-defining moment, the pop icon has just reached a major milestone in the United Kingdom, one that cements her place among the most enduring and beloved artists in modern music history. For the very first time, Britney Spears has notched 200 weeks on the U.K.’s Official Albums Chart with a single release, and the album in question isn’t a new studio project, but her celebrated 2009 compilation, The Singles Collection. The record, which gathers together many of her most iconic hits, has proven to be more than just a nostalgia piece, it's a testament to her cultural staying power.

As of this week, The Singles Collection climbs to No. 64 on the Official Albums Chart and to No. 53 on the Official Albums Streaming Chart, showing notable momentum on both physical and digital formats. In doing so, it becomes the first Spears release to spend 200 non-consecutive weeks on the Official Albums Chart, which ranks the most consumed albums in the U.K. based on a combination of physical sales, digital downloads, and streaming data compiled by the Official Charts Company.

Originally released to mark the ten-year anniversary of Spears’ groundbreaking debut single, ...Baby One More Time, The Singles Collection showcases the full arc of her chart-topping journey, from her sugary pop beginnings to the edgier, experimental sounds of her later career. The compilation includes hits like “Toxic,” “Gimme More,” “Womanizer,” and “Oops!... I Did It Again,” among many others. The enduring relevance of these songs is reflected in the album’s consistent chart performance over the years.

The fact that this milestone has come at a time when Spears is musically inactive makes it all the more remarkable. While the singer has been largely absent from the industry in recent years, in part due to her highly publicized legal battles and her step away from the spotlight, her musical catalog has never stopped resonating with both long-time fans and new listeners discovering her work for the first time. While The Singles Collection is Spears’ first release to reach 200 weeks on the U.K. albums chart, it isn’t her only project still generating chart activity. Her iconic debut album, ...Baby One More Time, is closing in on another round number of its own. The record, which originally peaked at No. 2 on the chart following its 1999 release, now sits at 103 weeks on the tally, just one shy of a full two years. That project remains one of the most definitive pop albums of the late ‘90s and has become a generational touchstone, especially with the rise of Y2K nostalgia in popular culture.

Meanwhile, her 2000 sophomore album, Oops!... I Did It Again, also continues to resurface in surprising ways. It reentered the Official Albums Sales chart this week at No. 83 and made a fresh appearance at No. 41 on the Official Albums Downloads chart. This digital surge comes on the heels of a special 25th-anniversary reissue of the album, which was released in several formats, including limited-edition colored vinyl, collectible packaging, and bonus remixes and unreleased material. These commemorative editions appear to have struck a chord with fans eager to celebrate Spears’ early 2000s dominance.

In a streaming era where new music often burns bright and fades quickly, Spears’ continued presence on global charts speaks volumes about the emotional and cultural imprint she’s left behind. Her influence on pop music is undeniable, she not only defined a generation but helped shape the modern template for a global pop superstar. The staying power of The Singles Collection, and its new 200-week milestone, is more than a statistic. It’s a symbol of a legacy that refuses to be forgotten. As fans continue to rally around her, revisit her discography, and push for her rightful recognition in music history, Britney Spears’ catalog remains not just relevant, but actively celebrated. Whether she ever releases another album or not, this latest milestone proves one thing: Britney isn’t just a pop princess, she’s a permanent part of the pop canon.

Britney Spears may be free, but that doesn’t mean she’s not hurting. The pop icon is reportedly feeling a fresh wave of heartbreak after seeing her ex-husband, Sam Asghari, flaunt his new romance with actress and model Brooke Irvine. According to a source close to the singer, Britney is in a vulnerable emotional state after calling it quits, yet again, with her on-again, off-again boyfriend, Paul Richard Soliz.

And now, seeing Sam happily moving on while she’s left picking up the pieces? It’s left her devastated.

“Britney’s relationship with Paul just crashed and burned again,” the insider exclusively tells In Touch. “She’s single and definitely not happy about it.”
While Britney has been vocal about her desire for independence since her 13-year conservatorship ended, sources say the loneliness has started to set in. Especially now, with summer approaching, a season that once meant excitement and freedom, she’s bracing for long days of emotional emptiness.

“Sam’s new girlfriend, Brooke, has people whispering about how much she resembles a younger Britney,” the source reveals. “Seeing the man she once called her husband in love again, and with someone who mirrors her from her prime, is absolutely heart-wrenching. She says she doesn’t want Sam back, and maybe she means it, but watching him move on so easily has left her feeling like she’s stuck in the past.”

Britney and Sam’s romance was once seen as a fairy-tale comeback. The personal trainer-turned-actor stood by her side during the final chapters of her conservatorship battle, and their 2022 wedding seemed to signal a fresh start. But behind closed doors, cracks were forming. The marriage officially ended when Sam filed for divorce in August 2023, citing July 28 as their separation date. The divorce was finalized less than a year later, in May 2024, reportedly without any financial dispute due to a solid prenup.

But emotionally, it hasn’t been as clean-cut for Britney.

After the split, Britney rebounded with Paul Soliz, a figure surrounded by controversy due to his criminal record and rumors of instability. Though their romance started as what the source called “a fling, just something to fill the void after Sam,” it quickly became more serious. And messy.
“It’s great that she’s ended things with Paul,” the insider says. “Everyone around her sees that as a good thing. But Britney has a history of going back to what’s familiar when she’s feeling down or lonely. And right now, those new pictures of Sam and Brooke looking so happy and in love, it’s messing with her head.”

That public display of affection wasn’t subtle. In April, Sam and Brooke made their red carpet debut as a couple at the grand opening of The Tryst, a luxury LGBTQ+ boutique hotel in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico. Sam was all smiles and spoke about his love for the community. “Love is about everybody,” he said. “I’m always gonna support this community, and I love the fact that I get the opportunity to do so.” It was a big moment and one Britney couldn’t avoid. The photos were everywhere.

“Britney’s trying to hold it together, but she’s fragile right now,” the source explains. “She’s hurt, not just because Sam’s moved on, but because it feels like he got the fresh start that she’s still chasing. Paul was never really the right guy, and she knows that deep down. But what else is she left with? Right now, it’s just her and her thoughts—and that can be a dangerous place for someone with her history.”

Britney’s inner circle is reportedly encouraging her to focus on therapy, self-care, and reconnecting with her music. But progress has been slow, especially with constant reminders of the life she once envisioned—now being played out with someone else. “People assume Britney’s OK just because she’s free,” the insider adds. “But emotional freedom is a different kind of battle. She's not looking for fame or headlines anymore. She's just looking for peace.”

As Sam settles into his new romance and Britney finds herself facing another summer alone, fans are left hoping that the pop princess can channel her heartbreak into healing—and maybe, eventually, a powerful comeback. But for now, it seems Britney Spears is just trying to survive another chapter that didn’t go according to script.

In a surprising turn of events, global pop icon Britney Spears has officially left the United States to start a new chapter of her life in Mexico and with it, she’s taken on a brand-new name: Xila Maria River Red. After years of public scrutiny, personal struggles, and media chaos, the 42-year-old singer is now focused on seeking peace and healing. The decision to relocate to Mexico and adopt a new name marks a symbolic closure to the turbulence that has long followed her since her early fame.

Britney, who has spent the past few years out of the spotlight and residing quietly in Spain, has now made Mexico her home — a country she’s grown deeply attached to since frequenting it for vacations in 2023. Her new identity, Xila Maria River Red, reflects a personal transformation she says is rooted in faith, reflection, and a desire to be free from the shadows of her past. While she hasn’t elaborated in depth about the meaning behind the name, it echoes themes of rebirth and spirituality. "River Red" is a name she previously teased on social media, and “Xila Maria” appears to be an intimate, symbolic reinvention of herself.

“They’ve Always Been Cruel to Me…”

In a social media post that resurfaced recently, Spears candidly addressed one of her main reasons for leaving the U.S.: the relentless mistreatment by paparazzi.

"It really hurts me that the paparazzi make my face look like I'm wearing a white Jason mask from Friday the 13th... It doesn’t even look like me," she said.
"They have always been incredibly cruel to me… that’s why I moved to Mexico."

Her statement reveals her ongoing battle with fame, where constant surveillance and distorted images have stripped her of control over her own narrative. Now, in Mexico, she hopes to live quietly and on her own terms. Though fans were initially shocked by both the name change and relocation, the overwhelming reaction has been one of empathy and encouragement. After a lifetime in the spotlight — from ...Baby One More Time to the conservatorship saga, many see this as Britney finally reclaiming her life.

As Xila Maria River Red, the pop legend seems to be telling the world: this is no longer about fame, but about finding joy, autonomy, and peace. Whatever name she goes by, her fans remain loyal, and above all, they’re hopeful that this marks a truly happy chapter for the woman behind the music.

More than two years after the release of her explosive memoir The Woman in Me, a deeply personal confession by Britney Spears is once again capturing attention online, this time about the long-hidden truth of her first sexual experience.

For decades, Britney’s image was carefully curated by her management as the innocent pop princess, a “virgin” symbol of purity for her young fanbase. But in her 2023 memoir, Britney finally revealed that this image was fabricated—and that she had been keeping a massive secret for almost 30 years.

“Given that I had so many teenage fans, my managers and press people had long tried to portray me as an eternal virgin—never mind that Justin Timberlake and I had been living together, and I’d been having sex since I was fourteen,” she wrote.

Who Was Britney’s First?

Contrary to the longstanding public belief that her first sexual partner was NSYNC frontman Justin Timberlake, Britney shared in her memoir that her first experience was actually with an older boy, her brother's childhood friend, when she was just a freshman in high school.

“The truth was, if you’re young and single in Hollywood, if there’s even a rumor that you’ve had sex, you’re labeled a s***,” she added.
“So my team created this whole narrative around me.”

Why the Lie Lasted So Long

Even after her breakup with Timberlake in 2002, Britney said she was forced to maintain the virgin narrative into her twenties to protect her marketability. The lie wasn’t just a minor PR move—it was a controlling part of her public identity.

“Why did my managers work so hard to claim I was some kind of young-girl virgin even into my twenties? Whose business was it if I’d had sex or not?”
The revelation has once again stirred conversations about the intense pressures and unrealistic standards young women in the entertainment industry are forced to live under, especially when their value is tied to perceptions of innocence or purity.

A New Era of Honesty

Spears’ memoir was praised for its raw honesty, also covering harrowing experiences like her mental health battles, her years under a strict conservatorship, and even her decision to have an abortion during her relationship with Timberlake. The reemergence of this specific confession online reminds fans not only of the human being behind the pop persona, but of the cost of being a young woman forced to live a lie in the public eye. Today, at 43, and now going by Xila Maria River Red, Britney seems focused on finally living her truth on her own terms, far from the spotlight, and far from the script others once wrote for her.
