I mean it looks good as FUCK so I have high hopes, but I've been burned by Tim Burton before so I'm skeptical.

I saw Beetlejuice in theaters when it first came out when I was 4 and then I saw it again when I was 34 because the theatre near me played it for the 30th anniversary in 2018.

I don't know it looks good but if this movie is bad I will lose all faith in humanity because you REALLY have to try hard to fuck up a movie about Betelgeuse.

I know, that's why I'm cautious but optimistic. The only way they could fuck up Betelgeuse's character is if he wasn't a horn dog and going by the footage that's been released he still has a boner for Lydia.

Plus Tim Burton refused to take notes or suggestions from the studio so that's a good sign.

Funny enough during the pandemic I saw the original Hocus pocus in theaters during Halloween it was great. Because nobody was there to ruin it for me.

This new Beetlejuice I have no hope for. Modern movies just are not what they used to be.

I don't know. Might be my bias but I find it hard to believe that they could possibly fuck this movie up. And now that I've seen the trailers and the footage that has been released I'm even more optimistic.
