You know after re-reading the posts from the time @IKOL got kiwis really mad for talking to a girl that was younger than him, I think a lot of "pedo catcher" content feels more like a grift + public hysteria than justice.
Yes, real pedophiles exist and need to be imprisoned. But a lot of these stings catch desperate, socially isolated ugly freaks who got baited by fake attention, kinda like how stupid people get roped into fed-led terror plots.
Like think about if you were a ugly autistic guy and you are desperate for a relationship, you try to get tinder matches and you are left with only one really attractive 15 year old girl who keeps giving you lots of positive attention.
Not saying they're innocent or it justifies their actions, but it does make me question how much of this is actual predator-catching vs. exploiting lonely freaks for content. Just gives me a bad vibe when I watch stuff like that.
