Barry versus Zetas
![]()
![]()
Some bloggers and Twitter users claiming to be part of the hacker movement Anonymous now say they have abandoned plans to expose collaborators working with the Zetas crime syndicate because the friend they say the gang kidnapped has been released.
Other self-identified Anonymous hackers say they will eventually undermine the countryâs drug cartels by exposing corrupt officials, but that threats from the Zetas, along with the friendâs release, have pushed them to declare that the current project â OpCartel â is dead.
Some outside critics, meanwhile, wonder if the whole story was a sham. Was anyone kidnapped, they ask. Where is the evidence? Did Anonymous really have the goods on corrupt officials that it claimed to have?
Article (Archive)Meanwhile a self-appointed Anonymous spokesman in Texas, Barrett Brown, has told reporters that the group may yet publish what he described as 25,000 Mexican government e-mails containing the names of Zetas members and their collaborators. Why, some might wonder, would Mr. Brown, presumably a real person using his a real name, go public with this information, given the risk?
On Twitter, two reasons were offered: he has a book contract to write about Anonymous, and he does not live in Mexico. Unlike nearly everything else involving OpCartel, both claims appear to be verifiable facts.

Article (Archive)However,âŻmultipleâŻusers found content showing the man standing close to police, resulting in claims that he is working as an undercover officer. A Facebook video with almost 1,000 likes said the man was seen âunder police protectionâ with accompanying text asking: âUndercover cop at yesterdayâs protest? ⊠Why would police protect someone who had been holding a banner saying they should be killed just a short time earlier?âŻSurelyâŻhe would be gettingâŻbattonedâŻ[sic] like the rest of the protesters were? But he was quite safe.ââŻâŻ(here).
AnotherâŻpost, shared nearly 100 times,âŻwrote: âThe same guy was then photographed and filmed several times clearly *with* the police. It couldn't be more blatantly stagedâ (here);âŻwhileâŻa further 100 FacebookâŻusersâŻshared aâŻstatus that claimedâŻthe manâŻwasâŻphotographedâŻâstanding behind police lines at other points in the dayââŻ(here).âŻComments left beneath the post indicate users believe the man is an officer.
However, there is no evidence to suggest the man is working undercover as a police officer. He has identified himself publicly and is an American journalist. The Metropolitan Police, meanwhile, also told Reuters that the online claims are false.
âPolice are aware of footage and images showing a male holding a banner during protests in central London on Saturday, 3 April. Enquiries are underway to identify the man,â the force added.
On April 4, journalist Barrett Brown wroteâŻa blog postâŻin which heâŻidentifiedâŻhimself as the subject of the photos. HeâŻdenied being connected to the Metropolitan Police.
Article (Archive)When the picture began circulating online, commentators mistakenly accused Brown of being a police agent provocateur.
I guess I have to release a statement to the effect that neither I nor the other protesters who can be seen with me are cops working for the Metropolitan Police.
Prison (did meth with nazis)
Through it all, the rhythm of jail life proceeded apace, varying only with the new arrivals who filtered in to the tune of two or three a month. Many of these were ex-cons who had been released to a halfway house, or home itself, only to flunk a drug test or otherwise violate the terms of their probation. The most memorable of these violators to arrive in our tank was a fellow called, for no reason I could determine, Byrdman. Byrdman was quite visibly Aryan Brotherhood or Aryan Circle or Aryan Brotherhood of Texas, or whatever; aside from a rather prominent neck swastika, he also sported a mural of Hitler across his back, along with some text that I canât recall today but that I imagine had something to do with Hitler being good, if not really great. Like some other prison Nazis Iâd encounter over the following years, Byrdman actually seemed to enjoy the company of other races, and indeed spent much of his time talking to the Kenyan; from various remarks he made over the course of the next day, it was clear that Byrd believed this African, like all Africans, to be a prolific hunter of wild gameâsomething of a tribal warrior archetype, then, like the Aryan conquerors of yore, and thus a fine fellow in his own way.
Byrdman had done some seventeen years in federal prison before being released to a halfway house, from which heâd been able to conduct expeditions into the greater world. He told us of a trip heâd made to Walmart, where he described being overwhelmed by the sheer variety of goods on display after much of a lifetime spent shopping via checking off boxes on a commissary slip. We were all impressed with the story, which the Kenyan later recalled as âvery poignant.â
That evening Byrdman revealed to me that heâd managed to sneak in some drugs by stuffing them in a little plastic bag up his ass before the marshals brought him in. So he, an El Salvadoran drug dealer, and I all âparachutedâ some crystal meth, which entails wrapping a portion in tissue and swallowing it, as there was no privacy in which to snort it, and Byrdman possessed the caution of the veteran convict. I spent the next few hours pacing around the unit with a cup of coffee, thinking fondly upon the accelerating success of our propaganda war.
After lights out, we smoked a joint rolled in a page torn from the Bible. Our cell was lit by dim dayroom light that made shadows of the iron bars keeping us in, shadows cast over the Kenyan as we played chess on the concrete floor, and on the El Salvadoran snoring in the corner. The metal, the concrete, the darkness, and the stillness together impressed upon my consciousness something that the whole of the last year had failed to do; only then did it occur to me how sharp were the edges of our civilization.

Barrett Brown Part 1: Trust in Infraguard; Living in Denial
On Wednesday April 18 I finally talked to Barrett Brown on the phone. I had been trying to talk to him for some time ever since he made a lame threat to me over twitter. But he had a different reasâŠameristroika.wordpress.com
He was also an alumnus of the notorious Second Life griefer group The Patriotic Nigras and a second group called illuminati/i/illuminati.

Barrett Brown, commonly known as the public face of the underground hacking group Anonymous, sent a furious email to The Daily Caller just hours before the FBI raided his home and arrested him late Wednesday evening for threatening an FBI agent on YouTube.
The FBI told The Daily Caller that it would not confirm any details about the raid, which was caught on camera while Brown and his girlfriend talked in an online video chat.
Brown emailed TheDC only several hours prior to the raid to draw attention to his most recent activities.
âYesterday began releasing revelations from stolen e-mails and other research on Holder/HBGary/Endgame Systems conspiracy against myself and potentially other activists associated with the transparency movement,â he wrote to TheDC late Wednesday afternoon.
HB Gary Federal was a federal cybersecurity contracting company subject to a major hack by Anonymous in early 2011, after the companyâs former CEO Aaron Barr claimed he had infiltrated Anonymous and discovered the groupâs leadership.
In retaliation, Anonymous breached HB Gary Federal and HB Gary, Inc.âs site, copied tens of thousands of emails and documents, and published them online. Anonymous also took over Barrâs Twitter account.
The emails, according to Anonymous, revealed a conspiracy orchestrated by the U.S. Chamber of Commerce to hire Barr and HB Gary Federal to spy on its enemies. The Chamber has denied the allegation, but other companies implicated in the emails severed ties with HB Gary Federal. The hack also sparked a Congressional investigation.
âMy previous leaks ⊠got me banned from Daily Kos last week after 8 years of writing there,â Brown told TheDC.
Brown also expressed his anger towards Attorney General Eric Holder and the Justice Department, which he claimed wanted to charge his mother with obstruction of justice as a way to intimidate him.
âHolder is a fucking monster and after Iâm done doxing Smithâs family Iâll be asking for further info on everyone Holder works with,â he said, referring to the FBI agent he had threatened.
âDoxingâ is a method of collecting information about an individual through sources available on the Internet, and then publicly posting that information in a consolidated manner. The tactic is used by Anonymous as a method of intimidation.
âNow working more closely with Constitutional groups in Kansas, Texas, elsewhere and more than willing to die if thatâs what I have to do to make media pay attention to possibility of prison time for [my mother],â Brown added.
Brown, who had stepped up as an unofficial point of contact for Anonymous, also expressed concern for his safety in several video blog posts on his YouTube account.
âAm armed with shotgun, other weapons I wonât name so as to not provide intel; they know about shotgun and rifle which is why they sent 20 FBI and perhaps half dozen DPD to storm my apartment before they realized Iâd fled to motherâs previous day after tip,â he said.
Brownâs Anonymous efforts include heading up an initiative, Project PM, to expose information about the federal intelligence complex. His attorney expects him to be charged with threatening a federal agent, reported CBS Dallas / Fort Worth Friday.
Barrett Brown was thrown off the League of Ordinary Gentlemen because he used information from a commenterâs profile to out someone who simply criticized his pretentious anarchist bullshit â so now heâs lashing out like a 4-year old throwing a tantrum because he faced some actual criticism at LGF.Et Tu Barret? « The Diary of Daedalus

I think you misunderstand. I'm not "with" Alba. I fucked her a couple times and eventually had to physically remove her from my apartment in Dallas and then a friend's apartment in New York and actually beat her a bit for good measure. She's a nut and is intent on marrying me.
