Nah, not even close. At least with a computer it's still one guy with good ears arranging sounds to make a song, with AIslop it's peak "why bothering learning anything when I can ask the AI to make me some shit?" lazyness.

I think there already exists open-source AI models where nerds will buy up some cheap or mid-tier PCs (like some retired Dell Optiplex PCs or if they have the money then they could buy some Framework Deskstop PCs), put them in a cluster, and train an open-source AI model though their home mini-datacenter and have an AI not dependent on any Big Tech infrastructure (such as those big datacenters that use a lot of water from the local environment for cooling).

I think the open-source and homebrew communities will eventually come up with efficient solutions to have AI at the home without the high cost or being dependent on Big Tech for this service.

Everyone is just throwing money at AI without fully understanding the current limits and hurdles this technology faces. So like the Wall Street investors of the 1990's that kept putting money in any company that launched a website, I feel like investors like Jersh will be caught with their pants down and lose everything when this AI Bubble finally bursts. AI won't go away but the phonies will be exposed sooner or later.

I think this is what the AI bros think is going to happen but not realizing that there are a lot of wrong horses being backed in this AI bubble. AI is not going away but when the bubble finally bursts then a lot of people are going to be caught with their pants down while more practical AI models stick around longer. If there is one thing that should be learned from the Dot Com Bubble of the 1990's is don't get caught up by blind hype.

For real, the Dot Com bubble is the perfect lens for this. You're spot on about the Napster era—the old guard always freaks out and sues everyone, but ultimately they have to adapt because consumer behavior has already changed.

Right now, we're basically in the late 90s all over again. Anyone can slap "AI" on a pitch deck and get millions in VC money, exactly like adding ".com" to a company name back then. A lot of these startups are burning insane amounts of cash on computing power with zero actual plan to turn a profit.

When the hype dies down and the free money dries up, the grifters and useless apps will vanish overnight, just like Pets.com did. AI isn't going anywhere, but once the dust settles, the only things left standing will be the boring, practical tools that actually solve real problems. A lot of these AI bros are definitely going to get caught with their pants down.

I disagree. what you're talking about is AI chat bots from big companies like google, microsoft, etc. local/open source AI models actually requires you to set it up and that will take a ton of time and beefy hardware to pull it off

Well turns out, it's literally EVERYTHING. Especially when your photos are public, your data is out in the open (even when you think it isn't), voice may be heard via voice messages on some message app. And it takes one skrawny schmuck to use it to fabricate something that would be quite compelling to some audience that you may be a vile sack of shit.

There's a conspiracy theory known at the Pied Piper conspiracy theory(named after the classic German fairy tale) which states that the elites in power will have the normies be distracted by stupid shit on purpose so that the world's elties can get away with serious crimes and distract people from the issues that actually matter, basically a psyops for sub-80 IQ normies where they waste their times chasing ghosts instead of holding the elites accountable. Similar to how the Pied Piper in the classic fairy tale uses his magic flute to lure the children out of village with his enchanting music with the children not realizing they are being lured out of the village.

My reasons to hate AI are entirely different from artists.

This whole AI craze is the reason why computer parts are so expensive now because every tech company has been caught up with the hype that they're screwing over consumers.

I just want cheap computer parts again.

My own objections to the Chemtrails theory has less to do with the weather manipulation part of the conspiracy theory (although I have my own objections to this part too) and more to do with the part where the people that believe in this conspiracy theory believe that chemtrails are being used by the world's elites to sterilize the world population as part of a plot for population control.

If you know anything about the history chemical warfare then you will know that a chemical gas attack is often an incriminate attack. During World War 1, the Germans used Mustard Gas and Chlorine in the trenches; these highly toxic irritants were used in the trenches but both sides had to use gas masks to shield them from the effects of these toxic gases. The wind was unpredictable where the gas that the Germans fired at their opponents would often blow back at them which may cause those German soldiers to be disoriented and confused due to the effects of their own chemical agents if they didn't wore a gas mask to shield them.

It's the same thing here with airplane chemtrails. The problem that this theory is that the world's elites are not shielded from the effects of an indiscriminate attack like this either where they too would be affected by a gas being pumped into in the air that causes humans to not have any off-spring anymore. Don't think you can use the antidote argument either because even if this conspiracy theory is real and an antidote exists that shields the elites from the effects of this theoretical toxin, it's well documented that the human body eventually develops a resistance to drugs in general where you need something stronger to have the same effects (the elites would eventually develop a tolerance for their own antidote because they are still human and so they would eventually lose their immunity from their own chemical weapon due to the way human biology functions that they simply cannot escape from).

If the elites really wants to thin out the population, the cheaper and easier solution is to send the commoners to war where your Average Joe is far more likely to die on the battlefield while the elites stay comfortably in their air conditioned homes and never see a battlefield in their life. So you should be questioning war propaganda more often.

What makes any good psyops very effective is that the powers that be will mix in the truth with lies and half-truths where the elites in power will continue to get away with their dark activities as the commoners end up chasing ghosts and waste their time with stupid shit that never really mattered in the first place.
