Yeah, it's like how Muslims call the West degenerate but they huff up the copium whenever the topic of Muhammad and Aisha comes up and they do a lot of mental gymnastics. As for Joseph Smith, had Joseph Smith was born much later and started Mormonism in either the 20th or 21st centuries instead where by that point many Western countries started to enact age of consent laws, then Joseph Smith would've been seen as the Christian version of Jeffery Epstein and he would've had the book thrown at him where he would've spent life in prison over him touching underage girls. The Mormon church has since stopped talking about much of Joseph Smith's polygamy in their chruch services because they know what Joseph Smith did to the minors he married (like Helen Kimball who as forced to marry Joseph Smith at the age of 14) makes their religion look really bad.
Most Christians label Mormonism as 'White Islam' for a reason. If the supernatural is real, a part of me thinks Joseph Smith was probably the reincarnation of Muhammad and when Joseph Smith died he reincarnated into L. Ron Hubbard to start Scientology.

Mormons and Muslims (and overall religious people in general) in the west are usually very hypocritical and lukewarm about their religions, rarely do you encounter a mormon / muslim who will actually own the fact their prophet is a pedo and defend it.

No, France after the French Revolution was the first to legalize gay sex. Homosexuality was thought of as a religious crime, so all the anti-religious countries legalized it.
I highly doubt the show puts any sexual themes in it. More likely, the show is trying to expand its audience and reach more people. If someone has a problem with two moms being shown, then they should just say they have different values or that it makes them uncomfortable.
Personally, I don’t care who the kid’s parents are as long as the kid is 1) loved, 2) cared for, and 3) protected, etc.
The whole “pedo” argument is really dumb for obvious reasons. Society used to be structured around the man being the head of the household, and now look at how many shows either focus on women or portray both parents as equal heads of the family. This might sound like something a teacher would say, but society isn’t going to stay the same forever. As humanity expands and technology evolves, social structures will be replaced with others that are stronger or better adapted. Your lifestyle may be different from your parents’, and it won’t stay the same forever either it will adapt to change. What was once a minority can become a majority.
Take the USSR as an example: from 1917 to 1927, homosexuality was decriminalized. Then Stalin came in and reversed everything. Khrushchev later sat somewhere in the middlesex-related books existed, but homosexuality was practically unmentionable. From then until the fall of the USSR, being gay was criminalized.
What should be talked about more is gay rights in Europe. France decriminalized homosexuality in 1791, Poland in 1932, Turkey in 1858, Denmark in 1933, Iceland in 1940 (after gaining independence from Denmark), Switzerland in 1942, and Sweden in 1944.

the problem with the USSR is that its authoritarian nature means that talking about it shouldn't be like how we talk about western democracies but how we talk about countries under kings. No one brings up examples from Charles I rule when talking about england under William and Mary because its obvious they're totally different. Same thing under the USSR, Stalin, Lenin, Khrushchev, and Brezhnev put russia under entirely different worldviews and their liberal or conservative values reflected on the nation as a whole. Its similar to China where the leader influences everything else.
Also for all the talk about how evil homosexuality is, it really hinders the economy because of the lack of opportunities for homosexuals when its cracked down. Trump's best cabinet member is a fag, his biggest donor in '24 was a homo too. the ceo of apple was convinced to join apple because it was located in San Fran, which was a lot better towards gay people than Houston Texas in the 90s.
If you notice most bigots have stopped complaining about gays overall in favor of going after trans people too. Its like being anti-race mixing in the modern day, its hard to get people on your side.
trans acceptance will be a near impossible goal because of the whole puberty blocker issue, but gays will be here to stay.
