It’s full of people praising the peanut guy for making Vtubers seethe and it’s like… idk, to me it’s just really cringe to start liking someone and getting into them for no reason other than “He also dislikes the streaming genre I dislike”.
Again, this is like when SJWs start liking/supporting someone for no reason other than “They support progressivism”. Doesn't matter if they’re a good person who puts out good product, just “They like the thing I like”. I believe this is what it truly means to “consoom”.

A Vtuber is someone who, rather than showing their face, they show an animated model. This can look like them, or not.

The only thing that he does Differently is his humor.
When it comes to bronies and furries, my take has always been that they’re different. Whilst furries are in it specifically for the anthropomorphisization of animals, bronies like a show whose cast happens to be animals. Usually when I see people try to get rid of this distinction, it’s cause they see furries as this ultimate evil, and want to hate bronies so they need to connect the two.
But, while they’re different in goals and interests, they’re the same in ranking. When it comes to how weird and cringey it makes you, they’re nearly equal. So when bronies try to deny they’re furries or vice versa, it’s a fruitless endeavor. Cause even if they manage to convince the listener that they’re different, said listener’s opinion won’t change on whether he thinks they’re cool or not.
It’s like the difference between emo and goth. They’re different but they’ll get you bullied in school all the same.
This is different however, a vtuber is literally just someone who uses a model in lieu of their face. Like there is literally no other interpretation of what this man is.
And he’s rejecting it for the same reason furries reject bronyism or goths reject emo-ism. Because he associates the title with a stigma that’s embarrassing to him. But I always found it simple, if the stigma is so embarrassing, just stop doing the thing.
You’re not going to get rid of the connection between your content and the thing you don’t like, so idk man. Show your face or just turn off camera in general.

We can sit here and discuss the cringy aspects of the anime community and we can sit here and discuss the the cringy aspects of the vtuber community in general.
But let's be real here on why the peanut dude actually won best vtuber in The Streamer Awards.
1. Most award shows are fake as fuck:
It should be well known by now that most award shows will often not give an award to the nominee that really deserves it and it's because they want to start controversy on purpose to get you to watch said awards show next year.
Why do you think they didn't gave Leonardo DiCaprio an Oscar until 2016 because the Oscars were very well aware of the meme of Leonardo DiCaprio not winning an Oscar and so the Hollywood elites milked that meme for what it was worth until they finally gave the man his well-deserved Oscar and thus ending the meme after milking it for every dollar it was worth.
2. The Streamer Awards have deep ties to the Twitch community and the Twitch community isn't that fond of anime in general:
Long before vtubers came into the scene, you had thots like Pokemaine gaining simp money from desperate simps that were willing to watch real beautiful women make jackasses of themselves and get away with a lot of things (even if it's unethical) because they look pretty.
But then came vtubers who are new and interesting but they also have one advantage over the Twitch thots and it's the fact that vtuber models never age. The Twitch thots like Pokemaine are now in their 30's or starting to reach their 30's because age 30 is when a lot of women start to age like milk under the Sun so they're starting to hit the wall. But a female vtuber model is forever youthful because it's a fictional persona that will never hit the wall. Do you start to see what is happening here?
So The Streamer Awards gave that award to a peanut vtuber who doesn't even like being called a vtuber in the first place because they want to generate conservatory to get people to watch their bullshit award show next year and it's also out of spite because the old hags that are running the award show cannot accept the fact that they're losing to a bunch of anime characters now as the simps start to move on from people like Pokemaine (because women generally don't like competition).

It's funny looking back on these posts, because this guy is now deeply blackpilled on Trump and holds similar views to the ones Odd Opossum had.
I’m just saying, I don’t think most streamers deserve an award. They basically just play games or collab with each other to do something silly that ends up being entertaining. However, I think Peanut deserves it because of his humor and the amount of effort he puts into making 3D-rendered scenes. Most streamers don’t put in that much work, not even the big ones.
And if Peanut didn’t win, it was going to be Ironmouse but yeah, I agree. I’m also factoring in that the VTuber world is full of designs that look like children, and people who are normies finally got someone who doesn’t look like that. The choices were basically: a dude, a childlike model, Ironmouse, someone I only ever hear about in Asia, and then the newest popular VTuber, Peanut. The choice was pretty clear.
Like I said Streamers dont deserve awards unless they dont like Major Projects
