Why is this the case? The Mormons blindly obey authority and they are far less likely to question the ethics that goes on within the American government. The feds like the Mormons not because they're smart (and the Mormons are not smart) but because they're the perfect biological robots. They don't have to worry about their Mormon employees becoming whistleblowers (like Edward Snowden) because the Mormons are taunt since birth to never ever question authority. So the Mormons that work for the glowies are the perfect cogs for the machine.
