If Green Reddit wants to maximally protect children online they should advocate for an Internet ID System like China has, but this conflicts with their views that the internet should be "free, open, and anonymous" which leads to an endless cat and mouse game between predators and the authorities. They can't genuinely hold these two opposing ideals at the same time, maximal anonymity and maximal child safety.

That’s pretty bad, but what I hate the most is when they layer slurs with literally no meaning. Slurs are fun but KF users have a way of making them mean genuine nothing.

Honestly I think rather, a good way to keep kids off the internet is to make it “cringe” and shameful. Usually I am incredibly anti-cringe culture. “Cringe culture” made the internet so unbelievably boring and bland, like how KF is. Everyone’s just a carbon copy of eachother.

But kids just simply don’t belong on the internet. I think we need to go back to making fun of kids for simply having accounts, and I don’t mean light teasing, I mean make it genuinely problematic. In my little online spaces, I’ve found that works to keep kids offline if you make it an actually cancellable offense. I saw someone make a callout blog over a minor interacting with a NSFW artist (said NSFW artist didn’t know the minor was a minor), the the blog was calling out the minor and treating them like the bad guy. I think that’s good.

Can you imagine someone who met up with a predator at 12 in the same “grooming victims anonymous” group as someone who claims they were groomed cause a 20 year old gave them gift art? Kiwifarms user Cup Noodle was banned in 2023. Probably for trying to get with a "mentally disabled schizoposter" despite having an ex-wife and children, but it could have also just been for criticizing Josh. It is strange to have a 6 month gap between your 2 final posts. He was a cringe poster and had some odd posts about his kids that was posted in the first KF General thread.
