I've only interacted with him once or twice casually before the thread exploded. I had no idea how absolutely messed up he is. Like I said, there's nothing that anyone else can do for him at this point. He needs to take responsibility and fix his own situation, but that is looking less likely...

People have repeatedly warned him about his behavior and that he needs to get off the internet for a while. He didn't heed anyone's warnings and look what happened.

You know, for someone who was on a website known for documenting lolcows, he sure didn't heed the variety of cautionary tales that were presented there. I don't think there's anything one can do for him at this point.

I haven't seen this before but wow that poor dad. I'm only on the eight minute mark and I'm getting a dose of second hand embarrassment. I'd still love my son no matter what he does but I'd be a bit let down if he brought me this kind of news.
