If he got rid of the BP clique his userbase would thrive again. I don’t think the farms is going anywhere any time soon but it will just die a long slow painful death like the majority of formerly popular alternate platforms.

Getting rid of the beauty parlor I think would only cause more problems. Because then you would have retaliation from those users. Honestly Josh just needs to stop getting involved in the site's politics and let his moderators do their jobs for him.
No as there's always going to be a need for a gossip forum like his. It just will continue to slide into irrelevancy as more users are disenfranchised
I don't think Josh can do anything to prevent the site from dying a slow painful death, only delay it as much as he can. It doesn't matter if he reins in the cliques in BP, WW, CG, poltards etc. Reinvents the site or get better mods. KF has too much bad blood, too many spergs and Josh being too much of a self-centered ornery prick to make any change for the better.
True, KF's main appeal was following lolcows, Chris-Chan mainly and talking whatever shit you wanted so long as you didn't (or rather until) Josh got pissed off what you said. KF is gonna be a relic soon enough given what is currently happening there. It's why it's a good idea to not be too attached to any social platform because they will not remain relevant for long, just look at MySpace or for something closer to home, ED.

I know that online trends live and die, as do all things. I believe that the cultural attitude online has shifted dramatically, and mocking people who are different from us is now generally seen as unacceptable. As time goes on, websites like Josh's are increasingly seen as havens of harassment, rather than simple gossip sites. It's just another nail in the coffin that he's already hammered so well.

Yeah places do wane in popularity over time, but its really not that difficult to retain long term users as long as you dont have retards fucking banning everyone just because they want to go on powertrips at any given time and keep the place generally civil in tone.
