Feels like a Percocet and a shot of espresso without the risk of severe withdrawal symptoms or OD. Even if it gets out of hand I just feel like I'm withdrawing from caffeine+nicotine for like a day. I got off booze with it before, which is the goal. Eventually I'll hit the realm of diminishing returns and cut it out as well

Probably. So does alcohol. Drinking too much water will kill you. Anything that upsets your homeostasis can do you harm, including stressing about what to eat and drink

I think VAIDS is right though and kava is specifically toxic in a unique way. Kratom is pretty well tolerated by comparison

I tried some when I was thinking about quitting drinking but the taste was really off-putting. I had to use icy-cold water and gulp it down as fast as possible . You'd have to get super fucked on it to be worth it, all I ever got was a mild buzz. Honestly I'd rather have a beer a smoke a joint, if I'm gonna ruin my organs and make myself dumb at least I don't want to taste like I'm drinking swamp water to get there.
