Mexican actress Yadhira Carrillo revealed that she fell into a deep depression following the 2019 arrest of her husband, lawyer Juan Collado, who spent four years in prison on charges related to money laundering and financial crimes. In a recent interview on the television program Siéntese Quien Pueda!, Carrillo described the emotional and personal toll Collado’s imprisonment had on her life. She referred to the period as a "personal period of mourning" and shared that the experience transformed her completely.

"When you're in a marriage where you've lacked nothing, because that person has given you everything, that person isn't just your husband; he's my complete self, Yadhira," she said. Carrillo explained that during Collado’s incarceration, her daily routine centered around visiting him in prison and delivering his meals. Once home, she would return to her bedroom, where she spent most of her time isolated.

“For me, the lights went out on my entire life, completely, completely. I closed up the house and lived in my room, and I was truly grieving,” she said. “I allowed myself that moment (breaking down) very rarely and very alone, just for today. That's how I lived my day-to-day life. When you get married, you're with that person through the bad times more than the good.” Now, after four years of emotional struggle, the actress said she is finally closing that chapter and preparing for her return to television.
