Idk whats going on but as long as my paychecks are good i don't care what happens to this country anymore. Civic duties are fuck all and normies can't do shit anyway

Trump is crashing out because almost nothing has went smoothly for him. Trump did some good things (like establishing DOGE and pardoning Ross Ulbritch) but most of the things Trump has done so far has not only pissed off those on the Left (which is predicable) but he has done his share of dumb shit that even the Right is losing their faith in Trump now.

Let's look at Trump's recent blunders so far.

1. The Retarded Tariffs.

Trump sold the idea to the American people that tariffs are going to force countries to pay for imported goods and bring in more revenue to America and to bring back manufacturing jobs. This is objectivity false; there has never been an instance in the history of humanity where the exporter pays for a tariff, it's the importer that always pays for the tariff (you the consumer always pays for the tariff). Trump and many of his supporters are very delusional to think foreign countries pay for tariffs when it's average Americans that pay for them. Furthermore, the only thing the tariffs will really accomplish is give corporate America an excuse to raise their prices which means manufacturing jobs won't come back because skyrocketing inflation will make the cost of manufacturing in American more expensive than it already is.

2. The Botched Epstein Files release.

Trump and his administration hyped up the release of the Epstein files. Everyone wants to know who visited pedo island back when Jeffery Epstein was alive. Then, at the moment of truth, Trump hesitated. Suddenly there's no Epstein List anymore and Trump wants the American public to just forget about it? It doesn't work that way Orange Man. Even the American Right felt pretty betrayed and some on the Right have now turned against Trump for being a coward. Trump hyped up the Epstein files only to turn against the wishes of the American people in the end.

3. Trump betrayed his anti-war supporters.

At this rate, many Americans are sick and tired of the forever wars that America always finds itself in. Trillions of dollars in taxpayer money that could've been used to help American communities were wasted on conflicts in other countries that often yielded mixed results for America. Currently the ceasefire in Iran is holding but it's clear Trump wants Iran's current government to be gone on behalf of Israel. Trump also will supply more weapons to Ukraine despite Trump saying he would no longer give foreign aid to countries involved in a conflict. So much for America First.

4. Trump plans to give amnesty to illegal immigrant farm workers.

I don't think I need to explain this betrayal in detail. Despite Trump saying he wanted to deport every illegal immigrant in America, Trump did a 180 recently where he said he's going to help American farmers by letting farmers keep their illegal immigrant slave workers being paid in peanuts on their farms. The Orange Man lied to his supporters, again.

I predict people in his administration will resign because they can't take Trump's retarded arrogance anymore, Elon Musk is now plotting to derail the MAGA movement and attract more people top his brand of politics, and Trump will likely become a lame duck president in the end.

I think you're just ideologically opposed to a lot of these things. The tariffs have generated like over 120 billion in revenue and were the impetus for tax cuts we'll be seeing.

Farmworker amnesty thing is hard to know if it's going to happen, because at this point its only being reported on by Axio,s since the president doubled back on it, with the Trump admin and Homan say its not so as recent as 2 days ago, and hopefully they aren't lying. Iran was a huge fuck up though. But it wouldn't be that big of a deal if it wasn't a part of a larger pattern of certain people coming before America or what Americans want.

And that's where it gets weird because of the things Trump and MAGA have done. It's not like we haven't gotten what we asked for. And that's where it's starts to get hard to reconcile. Regardless of how you feel about protectionism vs neoclassical thought, the fact of the matter is that American tariffs under Trump this term, have totally changed the world and how it works. Alongside getting rid of USAID, tariffing has really laid the foundation for a new era in global trade, where the US isn't going to be propping-up the entire global economy.

Now you don't have to agree with these changes, maybe you're libertarian or a democrat, but they are objectively a big deal, they've brought about a total shift in the geopolitical order, and that scale of change that MAGA helped bring about begs the question: why can't we see the fucking Epstein client list?

Epstein shows there are people in positions of influence, and the things that they really want done come before us
Just think about it, there are almost certainly powerful people, who both wanted to save the global economy from becoming second fiddle to American protectionism, but also didn't want the Epstein files to come out... And yet, tariffs are here and the Epstein files somehow are not. Excuse me, what?

I didn't care about Epstein but I do now because how the fuck do I live in a world where Cold War soft-power like USAID is gone but I can't see a sex trafficker's client list?
