"Copying Null"
Just do what the European Union does already.Yes, designed to be set up by the parents rather than enforced against the owners will and requiring identification checks to disable.
Regardless, any ID checks would need a server somewhere to validate it and any Internet connected server can be hacked if someone is determined and skilled enough. For example, Google is supposedly developing OS-level age checks for Android which require you to store your ID on your Google account. Imagine if they face a breach...
Would be just one more place for Jersh's drones to get info on someone.
Just do what the European Union does already.
A Digital ID you can buy for a few bucks where you confirm your identity with your electronic device and after your age is verified your Digital ID information disappears from your local device after age verification is completed.
I imagine you can implement a similar system with the state's DMV where you buy a Digital ID from your state's DMV and use that to have full access to the Internet after your operating system of choice confirms your age and the information is deleted from your machine afterwards.
So the burden would actually lie mostly on the government to keep people's data safe because should a state's DMV database get breached then here comes the feds and look at who did the breach and which online communities are distributing said data breaches.
So in this hypothetical scenario, the states offering digital IDs would be considered government property and any threat actors that gain illegal access to said digital IDs would be in a shit ton of trouble because that would be a government database being the subject of concern. So if Jersh or any Kiwis think they can get away with it, the feds will knock on their front doors and ask the hard questions on how they got a hold of that kind of information in relation to government property. Just look at what happened to the guy that hacked NASA because he wanted to see if the American government knows anything about aliens.
And feds do not have a sense of humor because "We do a little trolling" isn't going to work on them.
Alien language, that's what is really is.
How if he can't detangle his broken knots? He should copy Mr. Engelhardt and have sex.
You're going to be very hard pressed to find any parents and legalizators that are willing to let the Internet continue being a Wild West and let kids access whatever they want online.Digital IDs are the first step in turning a society into a total panopticon. Becoming a nanny state is just not worth it.
In fact, that kind of enforcement based on government IDs and government records is what China does and what the UK is probably going to implement via their Online Safety Act.
Nightmare scenario for everyone. You're going to be very hard pressed to find any parents and legalizators that are willing to let the Internet continue being a Wild West and let kids access whatever they want online.
If there is going to be age verification (it's going to happen anyway) then I prefer that this is done on an operating system level because this puts the burden on state governments and operating system developers rather than putting the burden on websites.
If there is going to be age verification for the Internet then I prefer that websites aren't heavily burdened with this and pushes for incentives for state governments to update their cybersecurity practices and incentivize operating system developers to adopt better cybersecurity standards for their operating systems.
I don't like it either but what can we do?Nightmare scenario for everyone.
They got banned months ago after being in a spat with Jersh. It seems SaveTheLoli was banned or changed his name. Does anyone know where he went?
It was giving moderation power to people with zero accountability and pretending they wouldn’t abuse it that killed the old internet.I don't like it either but what can we do?
Me personally I prefer that the Internet remains wild and free because this is what made the Internet fun and enjoyable to begin with.
But if there is going to be age verification (which is most likely going to happen) then I prefer that there is a compromise that satisfies all parties involved.
Jannies ruin everything. It was giving moderation power to people with zero accountability and pretending they wouldn’t abuse it that killed the old internet.
Everyone's favorite pizza and coke overlord does that.
And that's why I can not take KiwiFarms seriously with their bad takesEveryone's favorite pizza and coke overlord does that.
I don't know why they're finger pointing and just blatantly just calling people grifters and of course, not having self-awareness.And that's why I can not take KiwiFarms seriously with their bad takes
This user is capital "D" DUMB. A try-hard that might be under-aged or a foreigner.
They’re just mad more people aren’t as insane and bigoted as they are, and like to at least act more normal than Kiwi Farmers.
The Kiwis will have to learn that the world doesn't revolve around them. They’re just mad more people aren’t as insane and bigoted as they are, and like to at least act more normal than Kiwi Farmers.
I haven't actually used an image board in almost a decade. It’s annoying that people I start to consider being friends with end up getting banned. This site is turning into a revolving door of nchan rejects.
It's not their responsibility it's the websites responsibility. That's like demanding id verification built on guns by the manufacturer so only the owner can use them. It's not their responsibility to ensure that. If they can do that then they can brick your operating system on whim just like Nintendo switch 2 will be able to. It will probably be snuck in as part of the parental lock. This is the same ransomware shit skins in India use to scam old ladies built in as a feature. If there is going to be age verification (it's going to happen anyway) then I prefer that this is done on an operating system level because this puts the burden on state governments and operating system developers rather than putting the burden on websites.
This isn't it. And it won't stop them from abusing their power. But if there is going to be age verification (which is most likely going to happen) then I prefer that there is a compromise that satisfies all parties involved.
