Interesting New Restrictions

As far back as August of 2021, probably longer, new accounts needed to have their post vetted by an admin before appearing on the forum. This is pretty standard and not that big of a deal.
However, new accounts can now not:
Send private messages
Post profile comments
React
Private Message mods/admins/Josh

Accounts still need to be vetted, and the mods ban accounts after their first posts very quickly as has happened to 3 people I know.

Also can't use the chat function. The only thing I can think of, to get around it, is to get a friend to post on a sock until it gets vetted. Not that I'm doing that or anything

I don't use chat in general.
But, I noticed on my new socks I couldn't see the chat when on IF threads.

Use TOR after you signup with a VPN since you can't register with TOR.

I am wondering if this has anything to do with lolcow.org because he is pretty pissed at them right now.

My new sock only needed to make a few posts before being vetted, I turned my VPN off since the admins are no longer checking my posts.
