Algeria In Algeria Turkiye's Erdogan Supports Imminent Israel - Hamas Deal

President Erdogan (Turkiye) is in Algeria. Ankara is in constant contact with the Qatari authorities over the Israel-Hamas Deal. The potential deal could see the release of approximately 50 hostages that Hamas took hostage during its October 7th attack on Israel in exchange for an unknown number of Palestinian women and minors in Israeli prisons. A four day truce is also part of the agreement.

Turkiye does not consider Hamas a terrorist group unlike the United States and the EU and maintains close ties with the group's political leadership in Doha. Erdogan has publicly condemned Israel for bombing hospitals and places of worship.

Both Turkish President (Erdogan) and Algerian President(Tebboune)are in favor of Israel being tried by international courts for "war crimes".

Both Turkey and Algeria signed 12 agreements aiming to deepen bilaterial ties among the two countries.
Among the agreements: Oil and gas cooperation between Turkish Energy Company (BOTAS) and Algeria's state oil and gas firm Sonatrach as well as other agreements on trade, technology and health. Algeria is the 4th largest gas supplier for Turkey after Russia, Azerbaijan, and Iran.

Both Turkey and Algeria want to increase their trade volume to $10-Billion in the next 5 years. It is currently 3-Billion.
