Looking at the first image in those posts, someone needs to tell Kiwi Farms that Vivian in Paper Mario: Thousand Year Old Door has been a canon troon in the original Japanese version of the game and most people never knew this because the original English localization censored it back in 2004.

The old Gamecube English localization censored any reference that Vivian is trans and the Switch version removed the censorship of this 20 year old game. The Mario series also has Birdo who is another troon character that has been confirmed to be trans for decades.

Nintendo does have canonical LGBT characters but most of them are from their IPs made for a more mature audience (such as the Fire Emblem series).

Nobody tell Kiwi Farms the kind of wild and freaky games that were published for the Famicom, Super Famicom, the Gamecube, the Gameboy Advance, and the Nintendo DS but never saw a release in America.

To be fair, skykiii is an autists who goes rogue and makes these kinds of threads from time to time rather than keep his opinions in one of the (many) general threads.

They offer nothing of value other than (i'm guessing) for his own amusement because even he claims KF is no fun. It got so bad, even Null had to step in on one of his posts

Honestly I've heard this both ways--apparently a lot of people heard that the "canon trans" thing was just an insult about her being too ugly to be a girl, but which modern gender ideologues misread.

It's funny, but the other day I was talking to a friend about the classic MST3K "Mr. B Natural" short and the skit that accompanied it (where Crow and Tom Servo argue over whether "Mr B." is a man or a woman). The deal is this was a short that had a woman play a man because the character is supposed to be a youthful, spritely figure, and a woman carries that better than a man does--similar to why Peter Pan is often played by a woman.

And it occured to us that in the modern day, this would be read as a trans thing, when it was never intended as such.

Wow. Why are you even on Onion Farms? You literally just called it bad that a Kiwi criticizes Kiwi Farms, when most of this thread is criticizing Kiwis for being unwilling to break from the hive mind. So which is it? Is it autistic when someone breaks from the hive mind or is it autistic when they don't?

And you're using Null taking action as proof this guy did something wrong. Even though in every other case, Null taking action against a user is seen as him being petty, and you'd think it would be doubly so when--again--the person he's taking action against openly criticized the farms, which Onions would normally say is an example of Null being butthurt.

So which is it?

They had such a bad take holy fuck. Not only can you emulate up to ps2 and GameCube on even an Android, but there are rom hacks that people would never be able to play on actual hardware that are essentially different games. Like those countless Zelda Mario and Pokemon ones for the 64, gba, and DS. It has come insanely far and will only get better to the point emulation is better than the official games. And in many cases it already is with save states and speed boost improving quality of life and allowing easier save scumming.
