It's not moral but should be legal and I do it anyway to people I don't like because I don't give a shit about moral fagging. It is funny to call out people who pretend to care and then do themselves though. But I wouldn't give a shit if they admitted it. I don't really hate or like Charlie Kirk enough to celebrate or mourn his death. It sucks he got shot in front of his kids mid debate but I'm not losing sleep over it and I've laughed at some of the memes of his death so I'm not biased for any side.

It only hurts them. When the people that don't like kiwifarms inevitably see posts like that it confirms their beliefs that it's just a harassment site that makes things up. Which discredits the stuff they didn't make up. That will lead to lolcow YouTubers who are already eating their lunch to stop using or associating with kiwi farms due to it not being a reliable source of information. Like when teachers say not to use Wikipedia for your essay. Or mainstream news in general.

This was the case for new join dates in general for the past couple years. And Josh wonders why there are so many ban evaders. If there were no people that did that then no one would be left to use his site by now.

To be fair, Discord sucks at privacy.

Servers and DMs are not E2E encrypted by default on Discord because Discord glows. Lots of the dumbest criminals on the Internet get busted for using Discord because Discord has your data and they will turn that over to the feds and/or local law enforcement upon request. The glowies love platforms like Discord because Discord is not obligated to protect your privacy.

Use better alternatives like Signal or Matrix to better protect yourself from the glowies because Discord is ass.

Yeah this kind of shit is what I had in mind when I was writing up the Kiwi Tropes thread.

Like I said there, it's hilarious how Kiwis will shit-talk other hobbies, when their own website revolves around a hobby (obsessively documenting people they only know online) that most of the world considers weird and sorta creepy.

At least speedrunners put their skills to actual use, whether it be doing runs for charity (validity of said charities notwithstanding) or acting as game-testers. I think I've even heard of speedrunners being involved in game design.

This does bite because one of the reasons I still use KF is because they do have genuinely good and useful information. I used to be very left-wing and Kiwi archiving history and showing that a lot of my former heroes were actually two-faced rats was one of the major things that disillusioned me.

This just makes me think of the theory someone proposed earlier, that Kiwi Farms got taken over by feds who are intentionally trying to destroy its value as an information source.

Although, another theory I once heard is that the site got invaded by /pol/tards after 4chan (or was it 8chan?) had some issue or other, and they wound up knocking the site off-kilter towards what we see today.

Both may be true, probably, because if you'll look at Farms today it have got degraded a lot after no-dongula and keffals have consent accident'd Josh' refuge place, you may notice that overall mentality and narratives have shifted greatly. It become less two-sided dialogue and more of a pushing forward certain particular "thoughts" and getting rid of anyone opposing this. I mean look at US General and every thread where jews are mentioned. just about a year or so ago much of userbase were hellbent on kike roast but now it doesn't happen to look like it. Why? Exactly, because current glowniggers in charge are in support of kikes, they make bed with 'em and so does a lot of users, who also happen to be der juden by their own admission, either direct or indirect one.

i actually recall a Kiwifarmer saying the same thing once. Someone was sperging about how adults shouldn’t be allowed to like kids shows or anything “kid-adjacent” (anime), and someone replied and said “…. I mean, do we do anything more productive for society? We just sit on KF all day”

its not so much glowies but power users, if you notice the jew arguements stopped during the week ban because all the most annoying users vanished. you'd have guys clogging up threads with their pro-jew arguements and were doing the same to the kirk thread until null did something about it

I don't use discord and probably never will. I know people irl who used discord that had their phone camera hacked and turn on, and the only reason they found out is because their phone said it can't use the flashlight while the camera is in use. So they closed apps one by one to see which it was and it was discord.

Discord hacks phone cameras. This means perverts watch women in hopes they post on the toilet or something. And also a bunch of kids use it (and get spied on as a result) so there is that. You may not be a terrorist, but odds are someone out there stroked their meat to you without you realizing at one point.
 
Reason: They were not in a video call and had mic and camera access restricted at the time. People say it can't happen but it does.
