While I have never been in the military, I would find it very difficult to believe that it is comprised of baby killers and sociopaths. I believe you have to take a battery of tests (among them a psychological exam). My guess is that teamwork is absolutely essential and sociopaths don't function very well in that environment because they are sociopaths.
