In most cases completely unnecessary.
In my case, I specifically can't look at user profiles, because I would post shock images on them. So I have a sock to look at them and don't post with it. It's a special restriction just for me. That I just bypass with a sock.
Reason: A Cromwell restriction.
Why not post content using said sock?
