A little background about Polar Beverages
Polar Beverages is a soft drink company based in Worcester, Massachusetts. It is a manufacturer and distributor of sparkling fruit beverages, seltzer, ginger ale, drink mixers, and spring water to customers in the United States. It is the largest independent soft-drink bottler in the United States. It markets beverages under its flagship brand, Polar Beverages, and under the brands Adirondack Beverages, Polar Seltzer, and Cape Cod Dry. In addition to its own drinks, Polar bottles and distributes national brands for companies such as Keurig Dr Pepper.
In 1994 Polar Beverages ran a television commercial that really pissed off Coca-Cola. A polar bear considers drinking a can of Coca-Cola but throws it in a dumpster labeled " Keep the Arctic Pure". It then reaches down into the Arctic water and pulls out a can of Polar Seltzer and drinks it happily. Coca-Cola took Polar Beverages to court claiming the commercial implied Coca Cola was impure and could harm the company irreparably. The US District Court agreed with Coca-Cola. https://cyber.harvard.edu/property/respect/antibarbie.html

A Worcester-themed monopoly board in the making that is big news all over the city and Polar Beverages wants a spot on it.
As soon as the U.K.-based game company Top Trumps USA Inc. secured licensing from Hasbro to produce a Worcester-themed version of the game and asked for the community’s help in selecting 34 establishments to feature on the board, local businesses sprung into action quickly to secure their spot.
Ralph’s Tavern on Shrewsbury Street threw a Monopoly party and accepted Monopoly money as a form of payment for hot dogs, non-alcoholic jello shots and raffle tickets. Polar Beverages asked fans to email Top Trumps USA to nominate the iconic seltzer company, while cc-ing DoNotPassGo@PolarBeverages.com to be entered to win a year’s supply of their favorite Polar beverages.
