Wow! Will this actually work?

Israel plans to use anti-terrorism tracking technology and a partial shutdown of its economy to minimize the risk of coronavirus transmission, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said on Saturday....

In an escalation of precautionary measures, Netanyahu's government announced that malls, hotels, restaurants and theaters will shut down from Sunday, and said employees should not go to their workplaces unless it was necessary. However vital services, pharmacies, supermarkets and banks would continue to operate.

This is big. The United Arab Emirates and Israel have signed a peace deal brokered by President Trump normalizing relations between the two countries. In the coming weeks they will exchange diplomatic representatives. Israel and the UAE will sign agreements in the coming weeks related to investment, tourism, air travel, security, opening embassies and more. In return, Israel has agreed to suspend annexing the West Bank.

There had been secret ties between the two countries for years: https://www.washingtonpost.com/worl...81d408-de26-11ea-b4f1-25b762cdbbf4_story.html

Iran is pissed off. Calls Israel "The Zionist Regime"

Kuwait basically claimmed up on this for reasons I don't understand.

Bahrain congratulates the UAE for stopping the annexation of Palestinian Land by Israel and supports the agreement between Israel, the UAE, and the United States but is mum on the normalization of relations between the two countries.

Oman gave a brief neutral article on it. It may be keeping a low key on reporting this so as not to upset its neighbor Iran.

Jordan strikes me as ambiguous about this event. It says Israel has to choose between peace and conflict but says that Israel must secure a two state solution with Palestine based on its pre-1967 borders (which isn't going to happen).

It was mentioned that both Palestine and Iran condemned the Israel - UAE Peace Agreement. I am taking a look at a few others
Iraq condemns it:
The Iraqi Bar Association calls on Arab Lawyers to criminalize Israel and defeat the deal of the century: http://ninanews.com/Website/News/Details?key=850078
The Iraqi Communist Party condemns it: https://www.iraqicp.com/index.php/sections/party/40933-2020-08-15-18-51-24
they also mentioned that the Kuwaiti Progressive Movement (Communist group in Kuwait) also condemns it
https://www.iraqicp.com/index.php/sections/orbits/40819-2020-08-13-19-38-42

Turkey condemns it
https://www.dw.com/en/israel-uae-relations/a-54564050
The ruling AKP party opposes it:
https://www.hurriyetdailynews.com/ruling-akp-denounces-uae-israel-deal-157423

As I mentioned above, Palestine condemns it
Hamas is pissed https://www.palestinow.com/hamas-condemn-uae-israel-new-peace-agreement/
The PNA is pissed off as well: https://sputniknews.com/middleeast/...eement-between-israel-us-uae---pna-statement/

Iran: Well we kind of expected this:

https://en.irna.ir/news/83908722/No...th-Zionist-regime-turning-back-on-Palestinian
https://en.irna.ir/news/83908355/History-will-remember-betrayal-to-Palestinians-Iranian-ambassador

Yemen was rather interesting
Southern Yemeni Revolutionary Movement Council
- A separatist movement that wants to form an independent country (South Yemen) rejects it.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Southern_Movement
https://www.yemenpress.org/yemen/yemen-a-southern-leader-condemns-infamous-uae-israel-deal/

The Yemeni government opposes it:
The Palestinians' disagreement with the trilateral deal was echoed by Yemen's Foreign Minister, Mohammed al-Hadrami.
"Our position in the Republic of Yemen will remain consistent and will not change regarding the Palestinian cause and the rights of the brotherly Palestinian people - which are inalienable - on top of which is the establishment of an independent state with Al-Quds Al-Sharif as its capital," al-Hadrami said in a statement.
https://sputniknews.com/middleeast/...eement-between-israel-us-uae---pna-statement/

The Southern Transitional Council supported it: This is another separatist group that wants to break away from Northern Yemen.
Oh wait a minute, the UAE helped create this:

In addition to the United Arab Emirates normalizing relations with Israel, Bahrain has also followed the UAE's lead. https://freebeacon.com/latest-news/historic-peace-deal-normalizes-israels-relations-with-bahrain/

Among the naysayers of the Gulf Sates are Qatar and Kuwait: Qatar will not follow suit and normalize relations with Israel.
As for Kuwait, well you be the judge: http://english.ahram.org.eg/NewsCon...y/World/Kuwait-takes--a-different-stance.aspx

Kuwaiti Speaker of the House Screams abuse at the Israeli representatives at an International Parliamentarians meeting in St. Petersburg, Russia

Palestine factions are unifying in the face of the UAE and Bahrain normalizing relations with Israel.
