To a degree pretty much all lolcows are emblematic of the Streisand Effect. Most of them never would have been trolled or become spectacles of ridicule had they not vociferously confronted their trolls or doggedly tried to have the mockery censored. Moleman (Gaben, Goo Bean, Gay Pen…) arguably takes this to a new level because it morphed him from an unrecognizable face in the short bus to uniquely identifiable for his spergy quirks. Back when Chris-Chan swore of regular internet activity and made it stick, /cow/'s predecessor board /cwc/ had an informal community effort going to discover fresh sources of amusement that offered the same manchild cringe and eccentric silliness. Most of these discoveries didn't really result in organized trolling or much attention because they were garden variety Sonic fans and DeviantART faggots. Moleman9000 had one such account.
Up to that point, Gabe was only known in obscure circles for sharing a father with his half-brother Dave Navarro, who plays in the 90s era alternative rock band "Jane's Addiction." An unsuccessful pilot for an MTV reality show based on Dave's mundane post peak rock star life contains plenty of hints as to his overall autismal personality. By the time /cwc/ found on him deviantArt, his autism had metastasized into pipe dream fictional universe upon which he rested his hope of becoming the head of a multimedia franchise. This "Nava-Verse" was notable and exposed on /cwc/ because of the amount of effort Gabe put into both making the setting a fundamentalist Christian morality play and how he built it from the ground up with terms and concepts ripped straight from TV Tropes. Oh, and it should be mentioned that all of the creatures and characters in this Nava-Verse are acid trip nightmares of geometric mosaics resembling a six-year-old's attempts to replicate Mesoamerican illustrations with magic markers. Hilariously, he peppered this absurdly large bestiary of impossible alien races with peaks into his unsavory psyche. There are whole species that embody Molay's ideas of rape and sexual depravity as well as creatures created specifically to resemble ethnic stereotypes.
When the Nava-Verse was first showed to /cwc/, the reaction was lukewarm. A lot of anon even said they thought Gabe's impractical and overly detailed psychedelia looked pretty neat from a distance. Not much to consider other than him being another young adult with juvenile interests on DeviantArt. Further investigation, though, would prove that we were chipping at the topsoil of a sperg field and about to hit Fanta.
Browsing through Moleman9000's DA journal turned up a handful of volunteered anecdotes outlining his severe problems controlling his anger and stubborn conviction in that all of his opinions are connected to a greater objective moral code. During his high school years, Gabe diligently recorded his chimp outs and tantrums believing that readers would be able to relate to his struggles as teen. He punched a Korean kid for making a self-deprecating joke about eating dogs because he wanted to white-knight a girl he knew who found it gross. He had an argument about the practicality a lesson with his math teacher that involved him getting so worked up that he snapped his retainer a bite. He confessed to finding his first cousin sexually appealing. He wrote lengthy harangues encouraging rebellion against websites with policies he disliked or rules he was punished for breaking, such as a journal where he declared that TV Tropes didn't really belong to its admin and owner as much as it did to tropers and wished harm on Hasbro for something frivolous pertaining to My Little Pony. He complained about being forced to read exemplary literature in school for a variety of petty reasons. He thought that 1984 was a poor novel because it ends on a grim note instead of with the villain being defeated by the good guys. He hated "The Stranger" because the absurd philosophy went right over his head and all he could think about was how much he hated the main character and wanted to see him punished. This establishes a running theme with Gabe: He views himself as a self-appointed champion of goodness and taste against the rest of the world which is clearly wrong.
Fortunately for those entertained by delusions of absolute rectitude, Moleman9000 is one of those aspies who insists on using the exact same nickname and user avatar for every online community he ever joins. Simply Googling his DA handle showed us his sissy fights and petulant outbursts on all kinds of websites. We saw him issue death threats and declare war against Wikipedia sysops because they wouldn't let a character from the Archie Sonic comic books get its own article. He got into angry all-caps shouting matches with Tropers over the cocks of articles and jealously protected pointless articles he made up for his nonexistent Nava-Verse media. Most amusingly, we found his paheal account and got a nauseating peak of the Rule 34 he uses as fap material. Notably he saved files of naked underage characters and complained to porno artists drawing Sonic smut that Knuckles the Echidna's penis didn't look anatomically correct for his species. We found his YouTube channel and got to see his unfunny attempts to edit "YouTube Poops" and early installments of his "Epic Rap Battles" videos which replace historical figures with pop-culture characters.
After linking some of this in the old 789chan /cwc/ thread, some anon decided to make an Encyclopedia Dramatica article about Moleman. When he became informed of the existence of this article, he promptly tried all of the standard lolcow tactics of getting an ED article pulled and with the same lack of success. Failing to blank or threaten his article down marked the end of it for a long time. Nobody had really trolled Gabe before that point of collecting his dirty laundry and putting it on ED.
