If he actually does issue a cease & desist letter, I will simply turn it over to my attorney. But I'm not sure he knows what it takes to legally prove defamation.
Defamation involves three elements
1. You presented a statement of false fact (in other words, the statement was false but you presented it as true).
2. You did so with malicious or reckless intent knowing it would cause harm.
3. It resulted in genuine monetary damages which can be proven in a court of law.
While I am no attorney, I doubt shit-flinging in a lolcow forum would even come close to meeting this standard.
